This team came together partially under the magic of the Lucent Dossier umbrella. We are forever grateful for the gifts and experience the Lucent stage continues to provide us with. We are excited to explore new ways we can communicate through movement. Under the artistic direction of Linda Borini, this is an immersive collaboration of creative wits. We are elated to welcome Beth Hinderliter to the team.
After attending voice lessons at Long Beach City College and California State University of Long Beach, in 2000, she participated in Warner Bros. “Popstars 2” and was praised in publications like Variety Magazine and TV Guide – “the girl in the wheelchair, who’s voice blew everyone out of the water”. In 2002 she was cast in Disney’s “Aladdin” at Disney California Adventure Theme Park, She is the first performer in a wheelchair to ever be on any Disney stage in the world, performing daily for 8,000 guests from every corner of the world. Showing the entire world that talent sees no boundaries, she's now a motivational speaker. Being a voice for people living with disabilities by breaking attitudinal and architectural barriers is a passion in addition to singing. 2010 Ms. Wheelchair California and Ms. Wheelchair America 2011. Her reign platform: “Empowering Children with Disabilities to Make Their Own Dreams Come True". Other credits include ‘Carmen’ a Sundance hit and Academy Award Nominated “The Sessions”, MTV’s “Awkward”. She's the founder and owner of The Ms. Wheelchair California Foundation.
Chanel has been gracing the Lucent Dossier stages under the collaborative guidance of Ubuntudance Artistic Director Linda Borini for over four years. Despite her impressively young age, she has quickly developed a fair understanding of the intricacies and inner workings of show business and performance. Company director Linda Borini is excited to see this young soul grow in every step of creative production and administration under the Ubuntudance umbrella.
